Went to the Carp pond today and caught two in about 45 minutes. Found one mudding and slapped my dry fly on the water so it would sink. Stripped it slowly through the mud and came tight to a nice little 3 or 4 lb carp. Went to another spot and saw one working out in the middle. Couldn't make a cast far enough with the trees around me. So I slipped on the wading boots and hoped that I wasn't about to sink to my knees in mud. Stepped in and too my suprise the bottom was very firm. Made a cast with my dry fly as the carp was clouping and he took it in. Had a nice fight for about 10 minutes and then brought him to the bank. Tried to get him on the bank for a pic, but he was having nothing to do with that and broke the tippet. Here is the sofa pillow I was using.
